Moje otázka je prostá. Do kolika sekund jste ochotni čekat na start počítače do fáze plné připravenosti k použití v GUI? A kolik sekund jste ochotni čekat na start jakékoliv aplikace?

Počítače? Klidně pět minut. Nevím, jak jiní ale já počítač restartuji možná jednou za měsíc. Rychlost startu systému je dnes asi tak to poslední, co mě trápí. U aplikací je to podobně. Velké aplikace většinou spustím a pak běží. Jestli se startují deset vteřin nebo tři minuty je prakticky jedno.

Pořád nadávám na to, že i když máme dnes několikanásobně výkonější počítače, stále je potřeba na všechno čekat stejně dlouho, mnohdy i déle. Subjektivně mám pocit, že se všechno spíše zpomaluje.

Ubuntu mi startuje cca 30 sekund, z aplikací mi nejdéle startují asi Libre Office, něco kolem 5 sekund. Nestěžuji si.

Co ta rychlost startu větších aplikací?

nebude to snap? třeba Firefox ve snapu - pomalý start na SSD, bez snapu rychlý
Snap jsem neměl na mysli. Spíš nejnovější aplikace, veliké jako jsou třeba od Microsoftu, Adobe, JetBrains, Corel atd. Přesto, že je nepoužívám, zajímá mě jejich rychlost startu.
