JOI Media is an award-winning software development firm, based in Canada. We are looking for a contractor who is a self-directed Front End Web Specialist. JOI Media’s international product, Katipult has been growing rapidly and as new clients are onboarded, development needs more resources.
While the contractor can be location-independent, the company’s business hours occur in Mountain Standard Time, so we expect an overlap at least 4 hours a day.
Duties
Creating Responsive HTML based on Photoshop Designs
Attending progress meetings via Webex / Skype / Google Hangouts
Communicating with team members via Slack, Basecamp, Asana
Absolutely Must Have
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and respective trends in each
In-depth knowledge of cross browser issues
Solid knowledge about UI Industry trends and upcoming features
jQuery, Responsive Design, Parallaxing, Sass, CakePHP Views,
Good teamwork and shared code repository skills
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Solid development experience with modern-day Web Applications.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Previous experience working with a team of web developers on a similar size project
