Zdravim mam doma starsi 120GB ATA disk, ktory uz dlhu dobu lezi v zasuvke. Chcel by som ho dat do bazaru ,ale neviem v akom stave je a ci ma cenu vobec niekomu taky disk ponukat. Zalezi samozrejma od stavu. Chcel by som poprosit skusenejsich ktorymi prikazmi by som mohol zistitt a deklarovat ako predavajuci stav takehoto HDD.

Vysledok bol cisty, ale neviem ktore dalsie prikazy ci aplikacie by som mal pouzit. Viete mi nieco doporucit? dakujem

Co Ti budeme povídat - ten disk je dle statistik zralej na odpis, ale může ject ještě dalších X let. Řekl bych, že na tom moc nevyděláš, i když to někdo koupí.

Tak tenhle asi leda tak zadara. Tohle prodat, tak si prodejce koleduje o par facek. Ale jeste by z nej sly vymontovat magnety. Jsou silne jako krava.

Když pominu nějaké drobnosti, tak bych řekl, že kdo se vyzná, nekoupí disk z druhé ruky s realokovanými sektory, o kterých neví zda přibývají a nebo jak je to dlouho od jejich vzniku. Jestli to dobře čtu, tak ten disk má najetých pouhých 14 hodin? a je v takovém stavu? Daruj spoluobčanům kus hliníku do sběru.

Pro tazatele - dej to kámošovi za jedno pivo, ale na důležitý data to nepoužívejte.

Ze zkušenosti (nutno říct že v 99% kupuju) mohu říct, že Aukro snese všechno ::)
Jak disk projde checkdiskem ve widlích, tak bude kupující spokojený.

Presne do doby, nez na to presype system a data a po tydnu mu to odejde. A samozrejme nebude mit zalohu.

udelej jeste destruktivni write-test, stejne nechces prodavat disk se zbytkama svych dat, nebo?

paramter c to dost zrychli
a pak udelej smart self test, prvne asi short, ten bude za dve minuty a pak long, ten bude hotovej za hodinu, kdyz disk nebudes pouzivat
smartctl -t short /dev/sda
pockat dve minuty...

vysledky jsou pak navzdy napsany v self-test logu na konci

jo, to je dobry, ale mas tam zatim jenom ten short test, ten dela jen kousicek zacatku a mozna kousicek konce; udelej long test, ten kontroluje vsechny bloky, teda jako badblocks -n, ale na rozdil od nej zustane v smart logu navzdy poznamenan vysledek
taky je videt, ze disk ma najeto 34000 hodin, teda nepretrzite se kroutil skoro 4 roky...

Vím, že se určitě objeví nějaký idiot, který řekne, že to není pravda.
Ale pravda to je, obyčejné disky mají MTBF tj. střední dobu poruchy 50 000 hodin a serverové 1 000 000 MTBF.
Pokud by disk měl najeto 34 000 hodin při teplotě cca ~25 stupňů, pak by měl mít před sebou ještě dalších cca 16000 hodin provozu.
Jenže jestli to najezdil při teplotě 43 stupňů, tak je to mrtvola, jako že to podle smartu vypadá.
Pro nechápavé idioty: Je to jako s autem, pokud vezmu dvě Šáde Octavia, jedna bude mít nalítáno 160 000 km a druhá 90 000 km, která je na tom lépe? Tupce napadne, že to je asi ta s těma 90 000 km, jenže co když tu "víc ojetou" měl Němec, který s tím jezdil jen v Bavorsku po dálnici 80 km tam a zpět, pravidelně se o ní staral ve značkovém servisu a je "neodrncaná", zatímco s tou co má 90 000 Km jezdil Pepa Hnojník z vesnice do města za prací po rozmlácený a přesolený silnici dlouhý 20 km tam a zpátky? Benzínové motory jsou stavěné na 250 tisíc km. Já bych určitě bral tu z Bavorska.
Stejně tak s diskem, dobrá, má najeto hodně, ale víc než "otáčení" disku vadí vysoká teplota, časté zapínání a vypínání, případně intenzivní využití. On se i ten povrch používáním prostě opotřebuje ať už při teplotě 20 nebo 40 stupňů. Je pravda, že často je čas vypovídající, podobně jako dvě šáde z jednoho okresu, kde má jedna najeto 160 a druhá 90 tisíc. Ale profík to bere jako celek!
Kolik má disk najeto?
Kdy byl vyrobený = určí se průměrná četnost použití.
Při jaké teplotě byl používán? = vyšší teplota = nižší životnost
Jsou tam přemapované sektory ? = znak vyššího opotřebení obvykle začátku disku.
Má udanou MTBF nebo nemá?
Pokud má disk udávanou MTBF 1 milión hodin, těch 34 000 není moc a může být tak v 1/2 životnosti, pokud 50 000 hodin, byl používaný při teplotě 43 stupnů, má přemapované sektory = ruce pryč od něj!
Ale to aukraře nezajímá, můžeš to dát od koruny s tím, že disk je starý a stejně to vyleze na cenu, co chceš. ::)
Tím chci ty chytřejší z Vás navést, abyste se nedívali jen na jeden parametr.

Hodnotu toho disku bych viděl na nějakých 50, 100 Kč. Otázka je, jestli to je částka, za kterou se má cenu s tím vůbec zabývat. Někomu se i tak může hodit. Nahrát na to pár filmů a zapomenout, že ten disku vůbec existuje, dostačující.

Ztotožňuju se s brkem a RUMem. Jak jsem psal, najdi kámoše, co chce Tvůj disk, zajděte do hospody, nech si kupit 1-5 piv (dle kvality :-P ) a dej mu disk - bez záruky a s upozorněním, že piva mu už nevrátíš, kdyby se to podělalo...
