Ubuntu po upgrade na 10.04 nebootuje

Dobry den,

O Linux sa zaujimam priblizne rok a pol a priblizne pred rokom som si nainstaloval na laptop 9.04. Vcera som svoju 9.10 upgradoval avsak sa mi ju nepodarilo nabootovat. Skusal som recovery mode (ci ako sa to vola) a taktiez sa mi nic nepodarilo. Mam podozrenie ze sa nema rad kernel a nvidia driver. Takze moja prva otazka je: Ako by som mohol svoje ubuntu znovu rozchodit? A v pripade ze by to nebolo mozne sa chcem opytat ako z  "mrtveho" systemu ziskat data (/home /var/www) a napriklad zoznam balickov ktore boli nainstalovane, teda obnovit system co najrychlejsie a co najkomfortnejsie.
Dakujem, prikladam vypis z niektorych logov.
PS: prepacte mi pravopis/interpunkciu.

ak mas rozdeleny disk, a adresar /home mas na vlastnej particii, tak ju len pri instalacii pripoj pod /home bez formatovania.
ak mas /home na / (root) particii, tak si data z neho nakopiruj na nejaky externy USB disk (pri nabootovani instalacneho CD sa k nemu dostanes), preinstaluj, a po nabootovani, zasa skopiruj na disk.
doporucujem minimalne adresaru /home pri instalacii vyhradit vlastnu particiu, pripadne buduce preinstalovanie budes mat ulahcene.
snad som to napisal aspon trochu zrozumitelne.

Anebo si vytvor live primo na usb flash disku, nabootuj a data z home pretahni na flashku, pak udelas novou instalaci a z flashky data vratis zpet. Moznosti je docela dost, zalezi jaky hradware mas momentalne poruce. A ubuntu uz radeji nikdy neupgraduj, radeji udelej vzdy novou instalaci. Ten seznam balicku muzes ziskat pomoci super nastroje chroot, ale o tom bys potreboval uz neco precist. Mimochodem, po nabootovani vadneho systemu, dostanes se alespon do konzoly? Jestli ano, pak muzes do sveho home adresare ulozit soubor se seznamem balicku: dpkg --get-selections > /home/tvuj_ucet/dpkg.list.txt

Ak ti nabehne grub boot loader, skus editnut zaznam tlacidlom "e".
Zmen riadok kde je kernel a napis tam init=/bin/bash potvrd entrom. A daj to nabootovat "b".
Potom mountni / ako rw...

mount -o remount,rw /

Nahod si nove jadro (ubuntaci napiste ako)

A mounti to zase ro

mount -o remount,ro /
shutdown -rn now

Chroot som skusal tiez ale bolo to velmi dirty riesenie, nabootoval som live 10.04 mountol som si  particiu a potom uz len chroot /mnt/particia. ked som mal chroot tak
aptitude update
aptitude upgrade
aptitude -f install

dpkg --get-selections > /home/tvuj_ucet/dpkg.list.txt

Presne toto som hladal.
Inak po pripadnom preinstalovani mam potom zadat co?
Zatial Vam vsetkym dakujem za pomoc.
