The IT Technical Operations Systems team is seeking a Splunk Administrator to provide VMware, Opensource/Openstack, Linux in depth, Cisco UCS, and Pure Storage administration in a 24/7 highly available environment. In this role, you will support highly complex systems including integration, security and high level VMware administration, capacity planning, and server/system optimization.
- Serve as a contributor to and influencer of detailed systems designs and operational support; functional and technical.
- Provide expertise and recommend optimal solutions to meet technical and business requirements.
- Responsible for driving and delivering on strategic planning, design, and support of virtualization and compute server infrastructure including business recovery and continuity planning.
- Ability to drive output in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to organize and coordinate with teams towards a common goal.
- Collaborate with other Infrastructure Engineering team members in the development, optimization, and presentation of operational systems.
- Oversight and accountability for resolution of global VMware, Linux Support, and Cisco UCS server infrastructure.
- Champion Pure Storage within the IT corporate enterprise for early adoption and promotion.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE…
- BS or BA in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise server platforms in a VMware server farm environment.
- 5 -10 years' Splunk Administration experience.
- 5+ years’ experience with VMware and Cisco UCS Administration.
- 2+ years’ of Storage experience.
- Hybrid Cloud experience
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and or GCP.
- Inquisitive and innovative technological interest
- Driven and challenging around new technologies and ideas.
- Outstanding customer focused communication and relationship soft skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with proven documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly by email, teleconference, or other methods deemed necessary to perform job responsibilities.

- Hands-on experience working with Linux full life-cycle support including automation, security, and management technologies
- Powershell, Python, Bash, or other scripting skills relative to infrastructure technologies.
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery methods and practical experience in planning and execution.
- Vendor management and engagement experience.
- Networking concepts and functional knowledge of Cisco technologies.
- Experience working in a highly engineering focused environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Experience with GSuite, Okta, Slack, and Splunk.
