když jsem měl debian squeeze, tak mě notebook nešel probudit z uspání. Pak jsem podle návodu vložil tohle:

 do /usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/20-video-quirk-pm-toshiba.fdi a pak to fungovalo. Ovladač graf. karty jsem měl fglrx-driver z repozitářů debianu stable. Po upgradu na wheeze ale probouzení opět nefunguje. (fglrx v nové verzi nepodporuje můj hw, tak jsem musel nainstalovat starší ze stránek amd, myslím, že verzi 13.1) Dovedete mi někdo poradit co s tím?

Bohužel nemám notebook Toshiba a nikdy jsem s tímto neměl nejmenší potíže.
Ale jelikož tady nemáte žádnou odpověď, tak Vám alespoň navrhnu, ať se podíváte na manuálovou stránku daemona acpid, který má na starosti především napájení (a další systémové události). Co jsem se narychlo podíval, tak asi bude stát za úvahu zkontrolovat skript, který je popsaný v konfiguračním souboru umístěném na adrese /etc/acpi/events/sleepbtn a případně jej opravit. U mě je tento skript umístěn v /etc/acpi/sleep.sh. S tímhle jsem si ale nikdy nehrál, takže podrobněji těžko poradím.

Ve zmíněném skriptu (u mě je docela krátký) naleznete příkaz, kterým se počítač uspává. Možná bude problém právě v jeho konfiguraci. U mě se jedná o pm-suspend, s konfiguračními soubory v /etc/pm/*, ale teď opravdu nemám čas se tomu podrobně věnovat. Pokud se Vám ale nebude dařit, určitě dejte vědět na fórum.

Především se bude nutno podívat na skript /etc/acpi/sleep_suspend.sh na který je zde odkazováno.
Obsah souboru, který jste poslal podle všeho pouze říká acpid, který skript se má spustit pro přechod do spánku.
My se tedy musíme podívat na skript, na který je odkazováno a na příkazy v něm uvedené, případně na konfiguraci těchto příkazů, jestli dělají co mají a poté se podíváme, co dál.

Ale ještě mě napadla jedna věc, na kterou bych se měl zeptat:
Fakt, že se laptop neprobudí z režimu spánku znamená to, že normálně nastartuje nebo nenastartuje a vypíše nějaké chybové hlášení, kvůli kterému je nutno provést restart? Jsou o chybě nějaké podrobnější informace? Zkoušel jste najít nějaké chyby pomocí dmesg?

Taky určitě stojí za to vyzkoušet to, co napsal host #. Ale určitě sem dejte jeho obsah, ať potom víme, co dál.

notebook se normálně uspí, pak ho probudím, normálně jede, až na to, že nesvítí display a nefunguje klávesnce (numlock a capslock-nerozsvítí se světýlko). Žádné chybové hlášení mi to nepíše. Pokud to jde nějak zpětně zjistit z dmesg, tak jak?

Nejjednodušší je do příkazového řádku napsat dmesg.
Pro omezení počtu informací a převedení do souboru bude ale lepší dmesg | tail -n 200 > ~/Desktop/dmesg.log.
200 nahraďte požadovaným počtem zobrazených řádků.

Tak tohle bude na delší dobu, až tak velký maniak do skriptů nejsem, abych měl tohle za pět minut. K večeru na to zkusím trochu mrknout, ale bude to na delší dobu. Zkuste zkontrolovat skript v /usr/share/acpi-support/policy-funcs, konkrétně nás bude zajímat funkce CheckPolicy. Ten skript tady taky nakopírujte. Analogicky je nutno postupovat u skriptu /usr/share/acpi-support/screenblank. Ale zkuste sem dát dmesg, snad to z něho zvládneme o dost rychleji. Každopádně tohle bude pěkná piplačka a jelikož nemám dost času, určitě to nebude hned.

PS: Příště ten kód zkuste celé vložit do tagů pro vkládání kódu (# nad textovým polem).  ;)

To by snad už mohlo stačit  ;D Že já tam vůl napsal 200, vždycky si doma rád listuju...  ;D
Podle toho konce/začátku to asi vypadá, že není uložený nějaký img pomocí příkazu PM.
Někdy později na to mrknem, až bude více času.

Osobně si myslím, že by to mohlo stačit (nestačil jsem to ani proletět  ;D )
Ale můžete zkusit celý text vložit mezi tagy pro vkládání kódu, jak jsem naznačoval v příspěvku, kterého jste si asi nevšiml.
Je to to tlačítko s mříží nad textovým polem pro vkládání textu. Zabere to pak méně místa.
Jestli se nevloží příspěvek, přepošleme to nějakým jiným způsobem (když už jsem si řekl o 200 řádků  :) ).

Naštěstí nám stačí pouze konec, kde bude čas od doby, kdy se systém začne uspávat do doby, kdy se Vám jej podaří opět zapnout a přihlásit se. Nevadí, nějak to sem už dáme. Buď přes nějaké úložiště, nebo mezi těmi tagy, co jsem říkal. Každopádně u mě celý dmesg dělá skoro 900 řádků.

Nebo víte co? Zkuste ten dmesg s tail -n 100.
Ale já už fakt musím letět. Zkrejsnul jsem tu déle, než je zdrávo.

Až na to, že já jsem chtěl
/usr/share/acpi-support/policy-funcs
/usr/share/acpi-support/screenblank
tak celkem v pohodě.

Tehhle skript s tím možná bude mít něco společného, ale my potřebujeme konkrétní příkaz, který se nám chová špatně, což je podle všeho pm-suspend a musíme hlavně vědět proč. Tedy zjistit co dělají příkazy před jeho spuštěním, jestli není špatně nakonfigurovaný atp. Takže ještě jednou ty dva skripty, které jsem chtěl. Pak se když tak mrkneme na zbytek a na to, co nám hlásí dmesg hned po neúspěšném uspání počítače. Tedy po poslání skriptů pošlete výpis (max 100 řádků od konce! ) a vložte jej jako kód. Nejlepší je vždy získat tyto řádky pomocí tail -n 100, ale to už víte.

A tohle je už opravdu můj poslední koment. Hlavně dodejte to, co potřebujem.

Tak jsem neodolal, a věnoval jsem tomuhle kus odpoledne. Skripty jsem prozatím neřešil, ale co jsem prolistoval dmesg minule a prošel ten, co jsem poslední, co jsem si vyžádal, tak jsem zjistil tři věci.

1) Sto řádků je očividně málo, budeme jich potřebovat více.
Podle všeho zde asi není zachycen okamžik, ve kterém se stala chyba. Naštěstí jsem si možná všiml v neděli místa, kde by se mohla stát. Přesto je ve výpisu dmesg hláška, který by na věc mohla snad mít vliv. Skripty jsem ještě nestačil projít, bude to práce na dlouho (mám bohužel na starosti i spoustu jiných věcí). Uspěte počítač, ať vyvoláte chybu a po jeho zapnutí nahrajte prosím celý výpis příkazu dmesg například na uložto.cz. Jinak si nedokážu představit, že to tady vložíme do nějakého příspěvku. (Ono by možná stačilo 200 či 300 řádků, ale takhle to bude asi opravdu lepší, navíc 200 řádků by už asi nesplnilo limit 2000 znaků.)

2) Zaujala mě následující série hlášení. Netvrdím, že je to řešení, ale podle všeho by to mohlo mít spojitost:

Jelikož mi dosud nebylo jasné, co je to EDAC, tak jsem nažhavil google a zjistil následující.
U počítačů s vypnutou kontrolou ECC, případně pamětem bez jejich podpory může dojít k chybě při načítání modulu, která se většinou neprojevuje, ale jedním z projevů může být právě problém při přechodu do hibernace.

Pokud to má souvislost s naší chybou, nejprve bude potřeba vyzkoušet zapnout v BIOSu kontrolu ECC, podporují-li ji paměti, což je nejsnažší možnost. Něco málo o nastavení je na odkazu níže. Přesné nastavení závisí na typu BIOSu.

Tento postup jsem bohužel nezkoušel a ani vyzkoušet nemůžu, neboť nemám Váš hardware. Bohužel tohle vidím prvně, tak ani nevím, jak opravit počítač v případě, že po nastavení parametru nenastartuje (v jádru jsem se nikdy nehrabal a nevím přesně, co má příkaz dělat ale především jak uvést systém do původního stavu, pokud nenaběhne). Zde budu rád, vyjádří-li se někdo zkušenější.

3) Tohle bude na hodně dlouho. Navíc je to něco, s čím nemám zkušenosti a můžu udělat více škody než užitku. Opravdu nevím, jestli Vám s tímto poradím dobře, pokud bude chyba v něčem analogickém jádru operačního systému.

Takže toto bude asi pro dnešek vše. Bez obav můžete vyzkoušet nastavení v BIOSu. K úpravám systému bude lepší počkat, až se vyjádří někdo, kdo to už zkoušel. Snad jsem Vám alespoň trochu pomohl, ale tohle už přesahuje mé schopnosti. (Ale pokud se nenajde nikdo jiný, kdo Vám poradí a jste ochoten riskovat mé špatné rady, klidně na to mrknem. Osobně bych zde ale doporučil nějaké zahraniční fórum, kde se vyjádří více lidí, kteří těmhle věcem rozumí.)

v biosu moc možností nastavení nemám, o ecc ani zmínka, není tam snad skoro nic co je napsaný v té příručce.
